New Nail Polish Review!

Okay, finally a beauty post! Since I am wanting to have a theme of beauty related articles on my blog, it's about time to have something relevant to beauty on here. I recently discovered a new nail polish while I was out shopping the other day, by the brand Broadway Nails. They make a lot of press-on nails and nail related items(which I love, and purchase often) but this was the first time I had ever come across the nail polish. The  polish was only $1.00 per bottle, which was great, because the pres-on nails that require no glue cost around $7-$8 a package. Apparently other people loved this price as well, because by time I discovered the
Broadway Nails polish rack, it was pretty bare. Very few polishes remained for me to choose from but I did find one I really liked. I only wanted to get one as an initial test of the product since this would be my first time painting my nails with it. Like a lot of other beauty obsessee's I didn't want to purchase a lot, then be disappointed if it wasn't a good quality polish, when that money could be used on other beauty products! The color I chose was a light pastel purple.I thought it was very pretty and I have been getting into more pastel shades of polish, but I do like colors all across the board- from light and sheer all the way to super dark, glittery and everything in between. I hadn't noticed in the store, but when I got home and ready to paint my nails this polish had not only a number but a name well! I love when polishes have names and not just a number. My polish was number 43 and named "Easter Annie", a perfect name for this color, before noticing the name my boyfriend and I commented that it looked like an "easter egg color"! When I started to put the polish on I noticed it went on very smooth- a very important factor to me when deciding if a polish is good quality or not. It also needed no more than two coats and most of my nails were fine with one coat. I really liked the way it turned out, pics will follow. I really like how the polish turned out and want to point out I am not wearing a base coat or top coat in the pics because I like to test out how long the polish will last and how good the actual wear is. I probably will add a topcoat tonight, but as of now it has not chipped at all and that
never happens for me without at least a topcoat. If anyone has any recommendations or wants to know how
a particular polish or color wears I would love for you to comment with a request,or comment about any beauty product(it's one of my favorite subjects!).

Disclosure:All opinions are my own and I purchased this with my own money. I will always declare if something I blog about is a sponsored post, and will only state truthful opinions.

Join me on Instagc ^_^ http://www.instagc.com/67747

Here lately I have been wanting to increase my income with the holidays coming up and there's always something that comes up where just a little extra money would help so much. I joined this website called Instagc around February of this year(2013), but didn't really pay attention to it because I belong to several sites of this type- you know, the type where you can earn points and cash them out for prizes like merchandise, gift cards, paypal funds and contest entries. In my case I have found that a lot of these sites make you accumulate a lot of points, and I mean a lot before you can redeem them for anything and that gets annoying because to me, it feels like I am wasting my time and feels like it will take forever to get anything worthwhile. In the past two weeks or so, I decided to get back on the site and look. I'm really glad I went back and checked it out.
The first thing I noticed is there is a very handy chat bar to the right side of the page and if you have a question, you can ask and people will help you ,there is always a moderator on as well. Then I started to look at the point values and found that 1 point = .01 cent, and I really liked that because that makes sense (unlike some of the other sites). Above the chat bar on the right there is a bar where you can set the goal of your gift card. At first I made my goal a $25 Amazon card, then I looked at how much you can redeem and you can actually set your  goal  to $1, $2 and $5! That's really cool and a lot of people cash out the lower amounts to have them for shipping costs, etc and if you get an Amazon card and apply it to your Amazon account it never expires. I ended up setting my goal for a $5 Amazon card and it didn't take me long to redeem for it! It took a couple hours(3-4) each day for 2 days, then I cashed out and put it on my Amazon account. I got back on tonight and I am halfway to my next $5 card! And it's not just Amazon cards, they have lots of others like Wal-mart, Best Buy, Bath and Body Works, cards for gaming and you can request a check if you would rather have that! They have an easy to use navigation system and helpful guides on the bottom left of the page. I have put my banner on my page(top right) that shows my Instagc info and you should join me on there! "The Baby"(1973) Movie Review

I was intrigued about this movie after reading about it in Rue Morgue magazine forever ago, they were doing an interview with Ted Post who was the director of the film.  Just the premise of the movie and the fact it was from the 70's made me want to watch asap! I love movies from the 70's, I think there's great movies from all era's, but 70's era movies have a special kind of crazy aesthetic to me.
First of all the premise is a little shocking-it's about a physically grown man who never got past being a baby in that he can't speak except for baby gibberish, can't walk but can crawl, still has to use a bottle and sleeps in a crib. The film opens with a social worker reading his case file, then visits the family to meet with them and see just what is going on with "Baby", which you find out is also his name. From the family you meet his two eccentric sisters who help their Mother take care of Baby, and get a sense of the family dynamics- the family supports themselves with the income from Baby's welfare check and you get the sense that this social worker is overly interested in this family and particularly Baby as she visits them 3 times in a week and the family says the last social worker didn't come by all that much. There's even a scene with the social worker and her boss where her boss tells her Baby is fine and she is neglecting her other cases by playing favorites with this one. It seems that the social worker really cares about Baby and wants him to learn and grow if he's mentally able to. The family doesn't take too kindly to this intrusion and think they are handling Baby just fine. It's worth it to watch all the way to the twist ending when everyone's true motives are finally revealed!
This is one of those movies that will either hold your attention or it won't but if you're a fan of John Waters, 70's B-Movies and just plain weird this is definitely for you! I especially thought the acting was great -standouts are Baby's Mother(Ruth Roman), the Social Worker(Anjanette Comer) and Baby(David Manzy) himself. It would be all too easy to make the role of Baby into something cheesy or silly if the acting wasn't spot-on. So glad I got to learn of this movie and that it was available for Instant Watch on Netflix!

The ABC'S Of Death - Movie Review

Ok I am really big on horror movies and I love a good anthology so I had high hopes for this one being awesome, like there might even be some mind-blowing moments here and there. Well there were some ok moments and as with all anthologies some stories were stronger than others. I think that's half of my allure for short film/stories because there's always the chance if something sucks, if you stick around there will be something cool that I will discover.
Me and my sister grew up together on horror movies, something our mother always and still does encourage so my sister is my favorite person to watch movies with, we actually want to discuss the story and find out the meanings and whys behind the movie, which people who love movies often do- Ok on to the movie, The ABC'S Of Death - I have to admit I liked the title and the concept of directors taking one letter, then choosing a word and making a movie off the idea of the chosen word. The first story I thought started off strong and I immediately was intrigued and me and my sis were trying to think "what word did the first director choose for 'a'? " which became what me and my sis tried for the whole movie. You find out at the end of each tale what word the story is based on. The mini-films are so short I don't want to give any away for spoiler reasons, but I think some are really extreme over the top such as the one for letter 'L', the one for letter 'F' is just juvenile and silly and there's one that Angela Bettis directed and its for the letter 'E' and I really liked hers. I am glad I watched it, I would recommend if you like horror/weird anthology type movies but I prefer the movie v/h/s to this one as a comparable alternative. Any suggestions on some crazy movies to watch are most welcome<3
